Ottawa Mortgage Brokers 2016 Year in Review

What an interesting year 2016 was for real estate! Not only in our nation’s capital, Ottawa, but also for our entire nation as a whole. End of year mortgage rule changes caused a feeling of doubt and anxiety across many professionals in the industry. As Mortgage Agents, our team was faced with many questions and concerns from existing clients and new ones alike surrounding the impact the government’s changes would have on their long-term real estate goals. These discussions highlighted how important it is now, more than ever, to work with a mortgage professional who has a wide range of lenders and products that can fit your specific needs and requirements.

Aside from the changes in the marketplace, we too made some more positive changes internally. We relocated to an amazing one-of-a-kind space at 471 Elgin Street directly across from the Ottawa Police Station headquarters. This location has been well received by our community due to it’s convenient location from both the East and West ends of Ottawa, the visitor parking in front of the office as well as free parking on Argyle Street. We have been able to host some fun and unique workshops and fundraising events at our new home, most recently, in partnership with Burgers and Fries Forever (329 Bank & 278 Dalhousie), “BFF Friday– a Charity Foosball Tournament.

At BFF Friday teams gathered around the heart of our office (our foosball table of course) and battled for the right to call themselves Champions of Foos! In the end, the Versature Vipers ousted Team BARTOX and won gift cards to Jamil Bhuya’s masterpiece burger joint BFF. The proceeds from this event went to support The Ottawa Food Bank.

In closing we want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing clients, partners, friends, family and spouses for your ongoing support in helping David, myself and our entire team’s dreams come true. We take great pride in understanding your real estate goals and can’t wait to work with you again soon.

Have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and a safe and Happy New Year.

All our best,

Paul Stevenson, David Warren & the entire Family
