Founded in 2020, Referral Mortgages was built by three respected leaders in the mortgage industry—Rick Wilson, David Warren, and Adam Cote—who shared a conviction that the industry was ready for meaningful change. Drawing on decades of combined experience, they set out to create a brokerage designed for a new era: one that is truly agent-centred.

From day one, the vision was clear—to cultivate a culture where agents and brokers can genuinely grow, thrive, and build long-term, highly successful careers. Referral Mortgages was intentionally designed to create a level playing field for all agents, featuring capped fees, no hidden costs, and complete transparency into how the brokerage operates. This “glass view” approach fosters trust, fairness, and collaboration at every level of the organization.

Beyond business structure, the partners are strong advocates for family, community, and unity, believing that true success is measured by the positive impact it has on agents’ lives, their families, and the communities they serve.
